In this blog, I am going to introduce 10 sentences and words that spread out around the world and describe the reason why these words spread out around the world. In this year, the world changes a lot dramatically because of the China virus pandemic and people encounter a lot of sentences and words caused by news and events. In this blog, I am going to introduce "Double Standard" and explain the reason why "Double Standard" is nominated as "10 Vogue Words in the World for 2021". I. Introduction of Double Standard
Double Standard is one of the 10 Vogue Words in the World for 2021. It is a word that is a set of principles that applies differently and usually more rigorously to one group of people or circumstances than to another. A double standard is a standard or set of principles governing conduct that is applied more stringently or differently to one group of people than to another. Double Standard uses especially standards of sexual behavior that condemn behavior on the part of women that is condoned or not condemned when exhibited by men. Then, Double Standard is The situation of two or more groups, one of whom is tacitly excused from following a standard generally regarded as applying to all groups. In addition, the Double Standard is a code of morals that applies more severe standards of sexual behavior to women than to men. These meanings of Double Standard are original meanings; however, "Double Standard" has a face of Internet slang. The meaning of Internet slang for "Double Standard" is changing the judgment criteria by depending on the other party and saying a contradiction and a lying. Then, Internet slang of "Double Standard" is not constant because orders and government ordinances are changed frequently.
- This is an example: A, B, and C have a conversation about "Gintama" which is a famous comedy anime in Japan. Then, A says that B is a friend of A because B is a wonderful speaker, but C is not a friend of A because C is an Anime-nerd although B and C are crazy about "Gintama".
II. Introduction of "Double Standard" Which Occured from 2021 to Now.
- Although the Biden-Harris government persuades American people to take the booster shots, the Biden-Harris administration does not persuade illegal immigrants to take booster shots to enter the US.
- Although the Biden-Harris administration explains that the unvaccinated people spread COVID out around the US, the Biden-Harris administration is allowed the unvaccinated illegal immigrants to enter the US.
- Although Sports events in a school, a cultural festival in a school, and a school trip are canceled due to COVID, the fashion show at the Met Gala, Academy Award in 2021, 2021 Tokyo Olympics, and Barack Obama's Birthday were gathered people and not canceled due to this virus pandemic.
- Although some Japanese yelled to cancel the 2021 Tokyo Olympics because of COVID, there was no Japanese who yelled to cancel and boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics because of COVID and Peng Shuai's scandal.
- Although the Japanese government is not allowed Japanese people to have a midnight party at restaurants to avoid spreading COVID, 23 Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare employees and 10 TV Asahi employees had a party until midnight.
- Although Naomi Osaka who is a famous professional Japanese player does not speak in Japanese during her interview after the game, she obtained Japanese nationality or became Japanese because it is basic of living in Japan to speak in the Japanese language.
- Although the BLM movement is a revolution even if the member is burning stores and looting stuff in stores, January 6th Congress Raiding incident is a riot even if it is including Antifa and BLM among Trump's Supporters and not burning stores and stealing stuff in stores.
- Although the UN persuade all developed countries to reduce CO2 for global warming by 2030, the UN is allowed China to emit CO2 until 2040 for their technologies.
- Although Twitter deleted the accounts of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Dr. Robert Malone, and Donald Trump, Twitter did not erase the account of the Taliban's speaker.
This is the detail of No.9 Double standard:
- Although Facebook deleted the account of Donald Trump, Facebook did not erase the account of Darrel Brooks Jr who is a Black supremacist and occurred a murder incident in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
- Although Youtube erased Joe Rogan's interview with Dr. Robert Malone, Youtube does not delete naked yoga movies because naked yoga movies belong to sexual content or nudity.
- The Chinese government states that it is interference in domestic affairs to purchase the lands in China; however, the richest Chinese people purchase lands in Tokyo and New York because of debt in Chinese Evergrande.
- BLM persuades American people to respect Blacks, but Blacks and BLM discriminate against Asians and South Americans.
- Although the Biden-Harris administration persuades American children to go to their school and wear masks, Hollywood stars and American celebrities attended the 2021 Academy Award and the fashion show at the Met Gala without masks to show off their fashions.
- AOC persuaded the American people in Texas to resign Ted Cruz from the US Senator because she claimed that he ran away from an environmental crisis in Texas in February and tripped to Cancun in Mexico; however, AOC ran away from New York state which the number of COVID cases reached a record high in the past and tripped to Miami Beach, Florida.
- American people go somewhere with masks, but AOC went to a bar in Florida without a mask.
- Italy bans unvaccinated Italian people from their workplace; however, Italy welcomes unvaccinated refugees from Africa and the Middle East and offers their workplaces for them.
This is the evidence of No.17 Double Standard:
- The Macron administration is treated unvaccinated French people as not French people; however, the Macron administration welcomes unvaccinated refugees from Africa and the Middle East because France belongs to the EU.
This is the evidence of No. 18 Double Standard:
- The Biden-Harris administration is required border patrols for taking booster shots to engage in border patrol, but the Biden-Harris administration is not required illegal immigrants for taking booster shots to enter the US.
