Hello. This time, I am going to introduce anime characters and games that South Korea plagiarized. South Korea and North Korea are the same tribes as China. Sometimes, South Korea wanted to get technology and earn money by copying technology and the popular characters in Japan like China; however, their ability to copy in South Korea is more deteriorated than the ability to plagiarize in China and Korean creators claimed that it was original and refused to copy any anime characters from Japan.

One Piece is one of the popular anime manga in Japan. It is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda who is a manga writer and was published by Shueisha in July 1997. The story is that Monkey D. Luffy who is a boy and got the ability of rubber after he ate a devil fruit explore the world to discover "One Piece" with his crews and become the king of the pirate. One Piece becomes one of the famous and popular anime in Japan like Doraemon, Pokemon, Naruto, Gintama, and so on.
Wa Piece
Wa Piece is a South Korean anime that plagiarized One Piece. Wa Piece was written and released by a small company that has three workers. The story was that Champi who is the king of the pirate explored the World with his crews mainly to discovers the legendary treasure which is called Wa. His crews were Gioryo who is a swordsman and Ayumi who is a sniper. Wa Piece was broadcasted with flash anime on the Internet. Wa Piece was displayed at Character Fair which was performed in 2003 in South Korea. Because of that, there was a lot of blames from the world. The side of the developer douted that Wa Piece was an anime that plagiarized One Piece; however, Wa Piece was an original anime and refused to copy One Piece since the characters of Wa Piece is more muscular than One Piece, Champi did not wear a straw hat, and it was just sad that word feeling of the title is similar to One Piece. In addition, Viewers complained that Shanchon looked after "Red Hair" Shanks, but Shanks lost his arm; on the other hand, Shanchon lost both arms and the developer had the confidence to defeat the original even if Eiichiro Oda is going to take place a trial. A company that owned the copyright for Shonen Jump took place a trial so that the creator company of Wa Piece lost completely in the trial and is out of business.
II. Spirited Away
Spirited Away is one of the STUDIO GHIBLI movies. It is a 2001 Japanese animated fantasy film that was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It was animated by Studio Ghibli for Tokuma Shoten, Nippon Television Network, Dentsu, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Tohokusha Film, and Mitsubishi. Spirited Away was released in Japan on 20 July 2001 by distributor Toho and earned 383.4 million dollars at the worldwide box office. The story is that the Ogino family including Chihiro, her mother, and her father arrive at a mysterious tunnel, get into it, and discover an abandoned village. While Chihiro exploring the abandoned village, she finds a bathhouse and meets a mysterious boy Haku who warns Chihiro to return across the riverbed before sunset. When Chihiro returns back to her parents, they transform into pigs due to their punishment. Chihiro gets back to a bathhouse to ask Yubaba for her job. Then, Yubaba renames Chihiro to Sen. Sen obtains advice from Haku and other workers to get used to jobs in a bathhouse and transform her parent into a human beings again.
Moonlight Palace
Moonlight Palace is a South Korean anime that was released in 2016. The story is that a girl who is lost in a moonlight palace finds a way to return back to the world while she encounters people in the moonlight palace and mysterious experiments. It is very similar to Spirited Away. In addition, Moonlight Palace is very similar to a bathhouse in Spirited Away. There is a handsome boy who helps a girl like Haku and other characters who are similar to characters in Spirited Away in this movie. Also, A scene in which the girl rides on a dragon is similar to Spirited Away. Right after a promotion video for Moonlight Palace was released, many viewers from the world criticized that Moonlight Palace was a plagiarized movie from Spirited Away. Kim who was in charge of the director for Moonlight Palace denied plagiarizing Spirited Away by claiming that he wanted to ask you questions about similar scenes in his movie and move on to a discussion of South Korean anime that has unique and potential instead of comparing to Spirited Away without any evidence.
III. Pocket Monsters
Pocket Monster is one of the longest anime in Japan from 1997 that was created by Satoshi Tajiri, Ken Sugimori, and Junichi Masuda who belong to The Pokemon Company which was founded by Nintendo. Nintendo began developing the game for Pocket Monster in 1996 with the Game Boy. The story is that a bot or a girl finds monsters to collect them, beat gym Leaders, four nobles, and champions by training monsters. As for the anime for Pocket Monsters, the story is that Ash explores the Pocket Monster's world with Pikachu to be the Pocket Monster's champion by collecting the strong Pocket Monsters.
Powemon
Powemon was a South Korean Game that plagiarized Pocket Monster. The game was that you control the character who plagiarized Pikachu to take her to a goal while she beat an enemy character and got food. Powemon was able to play with windows PC, but it was one of the worst games. In addition, There was no operation in this game; on top of that, the screen was always unstable, the player was stuck in an invisible wall and step sometimes, and the stage was basically an abandoned rocky place. Also, BGM was creepy because it is disturbing. The character who looked like Pikachu was annoying. When Powemon uploaded on the Internet, viewers complained that Powemon plagiarized Pokemon and it was not interested. Powemon was on sale in a subway 15 years ago. You might have a hard time getting one since the development company was out of business already. The many lovers of fucking games are looking for the original for powemon.
IV. Doraemon
Doraemon is one of the famous characters in Japan and is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Fujiko Fujio who was a famous Japanese manga illustrator. The total series is 1465 stories. Then, all stories were created in original stories and were published by Shogakukan. Shogakukan broadcasted the anime of Doraemon from April 1st, 1973. The story is that an earless robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to assist an elementary school boy named Nobita Nobi. Doraemon was the best-selling manga for children in the World and one of the famous manga in the world.
Tonchamon
Tonchamon was a South Korean anime that plagiarized Doraemon. In the 1980s, South Korean people did not know Doraemon since South Korea regulated the import of the Japanese cultures due to the background of the history. A person who knew Doraemon at that time decided to sell Doraemon as a South Korean manga for the pirated edition and rename it Tonchamon to get a big money. As a result, Tonchamon was a big hit and the birthplace in South Korea, there was the original episode in this manga, and the goods for Tonchamon were on sale in a row. In the 1990s, South Korea removed a ban on the import of the Japanese culture step by step. Because of that, South Korean people found the original Doraemon. Then, Doraemon was also a big hit in South Korea; however, they complained and got complicated that Doraemon plagiarized Tonchaemon, and Did the writer of Tonchamon rename the name again? Tonchamon removed the initials from Tongle, Charie, and Montang which means a circle boy in the South Korean language. Currently, South Korean people recognize that Tonchamon was the pirated edition for Doraemon.
V. Mazinger Z
Mazinger Z is a Japanese super robot manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The first manga version was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from October 1972 to August 1973, and it continued in Kodansha TV Magazine from October 1973 to September 1974. It made it into an anime television series on Fuji TV from December 1972 to September 1974. A second manga series was released TV show by Gosaku Ota. Mazinger Z produced several sequels and spinoff series for example Great Mazinger, UFO Robot, Grendizer, and Mazinkaiser. Mazinger Z: Infinity is a theatrical film sequel that is taking place 10 years after the Great Mazinger series was animated by Toei Animation and released in theaters on January 13, 2018. The story was that Mazinger Z was an enormous super robot and constructed with a fictional metal called Super-Alloy Z who forged from a new element or Japanium mined from a reservoir found only in the sediment of Mt. Fuji in Japan. The mecha was developed by Professor Juzo Kabuto as a secret weapon to fight against the forces of evil, represented in the series by the Mechanical Beasts of Dr. Hell.
Taekwon V
Taekwon V was a South Korean anime that plagiarized Mazinger Z. The plot was that Kim Fung who was the world champion of Taekwondo got on a robot that looked like Mazinger Z to defeat the enemy robots that controlled by a villain by utilizing martial arts technic with taekwondo and get peace with people. The style for Taekwon V plagiarized robot anime that was popular in Japan at the time. The creators of Taekon V claimed that they got hints from Japanese anime. It was the most popular South Korean anime among South Korean young men because it was unique and interested content for South Korean viewers; however, Taekwon V was similar to Mazinger Z and the enemy robots were also similar to Japanese anime especially Gundam and many viewers criticized that Taekwon V plagiarized Mazinger Z and paid attention to Taekwon V since the South Korean government decided to remove a ban of the import Japanese culture from the 1990s. The directors for Taekwon V admitted that they made the design that was similar to Mazinger Z without purpose because the image of Japanese anime was too strong no matter how many times they made efforts. They felt limited for themselves. the reputation for Taekwon V in South Korea was that it was the beginning of South Korean robot anime. At the same time, it was the past symbol to reflect and avoid copying Japanese anime. It was a complicated treatment.
VI. The Legend of Zelda Series
The Legend of Zelda is one of the best-seller games in the world, is a high fantasy action-adventure video game, and was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka who are Japanese game creators. It is developed and published primarily by Nintendo. The series focuses on the incarnations of Link who is a courageous young Hylian man with pointy elf-like ears and Zelda who is a magical princess and is the mortal reincarnation of the goddess Hylia fight against Ganon who is a demon king to save the Land of Hyrule by completing mysteries. The game system is a mix of puzzles, action, adventure, battle, and exploration.
Final Sword
Final Sword was released with Nintendo Switch in 2020 by Unity and a South Korean company. The story was that a man leveled himself up one by one to defeat a black dragon while he explored the world. The developers for Final Sword stopped distributing the game only four days once after it was released because Final Sword plagiarized Legend of Zelda due to the BGM for a village (Refer to the BGM movie). Also, the graphic was more deteriorated than Play Station 1, The monsters that the monster barks are similar to animals that appear in the game, and there is a magical princess in this game. In addition, the sheld was useless to fight against the boss, a big bridge where plagiarized Final Fantasy V showed up in this game, and the boss character who is similar to Genie appears in the game. Because of these issues, Final Sword was the worst game in the last year; however, Final Sword the Definitive Edition released this year, changed BGM and added the woman hero to this game to prove that Final Sword is not a plagiarized game. In addition, Final Sword the Definitive Edtion improved the graphic and reduced some processing failure. I'd appreciate it if you watch this movie and listen to this BGM.
